Uruguyan golfer Juan Álvarez has been playing poorly in his first season at the PGA Tour Latinoamérica.

He made just three cuts in ten tournaments this season.

His best result was 14th at the Abierto del Centro in Córdoba.

He ranks 99th at the Order of Merit, far from retainign his card.

Last weekend, he won the Bolivian Open of the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Dev Series.

It's his first professional win, and earned a US$ 11,000 purse.

Therefore, he qualified to the Dev Series Final at Malinalco (December 10).

The top 15 pĺayers will get cards for the 2018 PGA Tour Latinoamérica.

Jhonattan Vegas defeated Jordan Spieth at the Presidents Cup.

- What do you think when you see the Statue of Liberty?

"Yes, freedom, my country, my country, as simple as that. Especially because of our situation, where there's limited freedom, limited freedom of speech, where people can't have an everyday life as they wish. That symbol is really bug, and I hope that some day we can have that freedom and have that confidence to grow as a country."
