Ping g30 club length

What's with the way Ping measures a driver. I have the stock shaft in it and according to their website it's 45.75"....your sisters a** it is. Only way to get that is if I stand it upright on the toe and use the metal ruler. Otherwise if I use the conventional method of soleing it at the proper angle on the ground it comes out to 45"....just like the off the rack 45" drivers come out to.

I don't really care...it's just odd. I have a couple aftermarket shafts I use and they measure my way 45 and 44.5

I have a G30 with Tour 80 shaft. It supposed to be 45.25 and that's what it measures out to.

Did you buy the club new?

How are you measuring it? Is it up against a wall?

I sole mine on the floor and run a metal ruler up from the heel to roughly what comes somewhere above my belly button.

Against a wall or even lying down its more or less standing on its toe.

I was at Golfers Warehouse and it measured with the stock tfc shaft, the same as the m2 driver.

Just went out to grab a few measurements with the stock Tfc shaft.

Against the wall it measures 46.5".

Measuring the top of the adapter where it meets the shaft to the grip cap is 42.5".

When I sole it, it's actually not above my belly button but it's closer to 45.25.

I have a White tie in there now that is 46 against the wall, almost 45" when I sole it and the adapterferrule top to the grip cap is just over 42".

Just curious on your tour 80 shaft. What's the measurement from the top of the ferrule/adapter to the grip cap end?

I use my White tie stiff flex mostly and just put an adapter on a phenom 50x which I can't wait to take out and try so I'd love to compare the measurement to your tour80
