Caddy Gift Ideas?

I'm visiting Scotland this summer for a few weeks and will be playing about a dozen rounds, and we're planning on enjoying caddies for most of the rounds. I'd like to bring along little gifts for each caddy, and am looking for some good ideas. I don't want to come across as a cheap bastxxx ("Thanks, here's a souvenir pencil from my home course"), act like an insensitive ugly American ("Thanks, here's a Make America Great Again hat"), or blow my budget too much ("Thanks, here's diamond encrusted money clip from Tiffanys").

Being from California I often give gifts for other occasions that are representative of my state, like a nice bottle of local wine, but something like that just isn't practical - I need small and light. I've heard some mention things like ball markers from a local treasured course (like Pebble or Torrey). Maybe that's fine, but I'm looking for something maybe a bit more unique.

Any caddies here have any guidance on the types of things that they found touching? Anyone else have any good experiences or suggestions?

That is a pretty good gift idea. Bc if they don't know what golfwrx and are golfers....they are missing out. If they do know, they will appreciate it.

I had a chance to play golf with Paul MicGinley one time and he didn't know what golfwrx was....I was surprised.

I had a chance to play golf with Paul MicGinley one time and he didn't know what golfwrx was....I was surprised.

Frankly, the best caddie gift is cash, or in Scotland, pounds sterling. I caddied growing up, and as an adult have been fortunate enough to have played with a lot of caddies over there. If you treat them well they'll treat you well, and I have generally had a great time with my caddies. Make no mistake though, for them it is not a special occasion to commemorate, it's their job and they are earning a living. They'd rather be paid five pounds more for a good job than handed trinkets or momentos, no matter how much thought you put in. The guy who said "beer vouchers" is right on. That way you don't have to pack a bunch of extra stuff either.

No intention to be rude in my response, but trust me on this one. If they do a good job, I always tip five pounds more than I think I should. Leaves a good impression, conducts some cheap diplomacy for the good ol USA, and makes me feel good.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. To me, tipping really well is just a given unless the caddie is really bad. I recognize that it is just a job for them, and not a lucrative one at that, so a little extra unexpected cash at the end of the day is the best reward. I have picked up some Torrey Pines trinkets just for the fun of it, and have a wad of Scottish pounds to tip with that will no doubt find its way into the till at Dunvegans!
