Thinking of trying one to lower single digit handicap

OK, so I have a silky putting stroke but I think my 30 or so putts a round are killing my scoring potential... what should be a consistent high 70's round is always just a little above that - 80 to 84. Thinking of trying a belly putter. What about this one?

If you are missing a lot of putts from 10ft and in the BP is good if you can do the stroke. Lag takes some work but doable. I think you need to weigh what you would be gaining (better shorter putts) vs losing (some loss in feel for longer putts).

As an aside, I switched to the method at the puttingzone.com and my putting is the best it has ever been. A new Giannini putter helped too!

i think ifirstly u should try a few normal putters and find one that suits your game if you dont think you can get more out of the one you have now.

Belly putters or ok but a few members at my local track have used belly putters only for it to ruin theyre putting.

You say you have a silky putting stroke - so what's the issue- aim, pace, reading greens? Maybe you're not chipping & pitching it close enough- just a thought.

You know, you guys are right - I don't need a belly putter. Some of my best putting EVER was early in the year when I was practicing on my Big Moss green during all those rainy evenings. I haven't practiced a single stroke since.... maybe Feb/March??? It's been quite a while. I think I just am relying too much on my built in talent and not practicing enough on putting (or at all). How does anyone find the time?
