Shot an 85 today...

on a pretty darn tough course...

rated 71.4 / 121 at 6600 yards...

i thought i played pretty decent today, but my putting was what really shocked me... i ended up with 29 putts on the day, which i think is probably my best ever...

lost 2 shots to OB so i probably should have been closer to 81... ;)

my middle wedge and middle iron game was the downfall today... i blew 2 easy 50 yard pitches into par 5 greens... first one my ball was up against the rough cut, so i didn't get any spin on it, and flew it too far, released and rolled off the back of the green... ended up wtih a bogey after being 50 yards out...

2nd one i was about the same yardage, 3rd shot in, the ground was really soggy, and my club just dug into it... took a divot the size of a small country, the ball went 20 yards... :D ended up with a bogey again from 50 yards out...

all in all a good round for this course, it's very tight, with OB on darn near every hole, and water in play on 7-8 holes...

can't wait to get out there again...

my driver was a fairway finding machine too... i hit 8/9 with the driver... 3/4 with irons... but only hit 2/5 GIR on the par 3's... :puke:

oh and the true bright spot was my cap dropped from 15.5 to 14.8 with this round... :woot:

well went out and topped that today...

 

shot 79 on a quite easier course though... 68.8/115 par 71...

 

hit 11 GIR's today with 35 putts... the greens at this place are very challenging... alot of slopes in the greens and hardly any flat putts...

 

quite happy with my score, but boned up 15 and 16 with doubles on each one, otherwise i would have been around 76-77...
