Buying second home in SW FL, what about golf??

I’m looking to buy a home between Ft Myers and north of Marco. Many golf communities require membership but I’m not going to be there enough to make 10-12k worth it. I would be there in November, January-March and a few times in summer but I will be working during the week.

 

If I was there full time then it would be worth it. I have membership at club in Ohio and don’t want a second. My thought is be nearby good courses that I could pay to play as needed. I would probably play like 20 times per year here.

 

Any communities on or near good courses that are open to play without expensive memberships equity or dues? What about Lely Resort area?

 

Open to suggestions on budget of 325k with 3b and 2b+. I just need to get feel for an area to start looking from a golfers perspective.

For that budget, you're going to want to stay north and probably east of I-75. Fort Myers area off Daniels/I-75 - Plantation, Marina Bay. Or Estero area - anything off Corkscrew Rd and you can join Old Corkscrew for a reasonable annual membership.

Take a look at Paseo in fort myers. Not a golf community but a nice development. I have a place there.
