2nd gen Miura K grind

Anybody heard when Miura plans to release 2nd gen K grind. There is a video up of a Miura rep talking about them at the PGA show.

I'm not sure why they need a 2nd Gen of the K.....Suppose it has something to do with getting us morons to buy another set of wedges.

 

Edit: After seeing the release....the milled face is probably going to be a nice addition.

Another whiff from the "new" Miura IMHO.

 

The additional sole width and increased bounce defeat the purpose.

 

In between my ears at least, the K grind creates an interesting bounce condition where you can get a lot of bounce out of the wedge when you open the face or are in soft conditions (i.e. sand) but you can also play pretty fearlessly off of firm turf. The K grind 60 is the only 60*, high bounce club that I've ever felt really confident with in a full swing, firm fairway condition. I'll give the new one a shot, but it looks to me like they neutered that functionality by increasing sole width and bounce.

I'll give the new K a try, but there is a ton of life still on my 56 K...and it's my favorite club in the bag by far. Yea, yea, I know, everyone thinks their brand of wedge is the best and filled with magic, but the Miura K IS filled with magic.

Personally I prefer theY grind over K, which seems to be very dramatic.
