Anyone transfer school for golf?

or homeschool?

I transfered to a private studies charter school for my senior year. 5 1/2 hours a week total of being @ school which allows me to work @ a locla golf store and practice my game more. Anyone else doing something similar?

After a year and a half of normal private high school in Michigan, I moved to Florida to attend a golf academy where i go to school from 8-11 everyday. So about 9-12 hours a week of school total and 24 hours of golf training a week. We have a home school kid at our academy but i don't see any benefits to it. Lack of social skills can occur if you are home schooled

5 and a half hours a week? thats less than one day of school for me, im guessing a lot of stuff at home

Only thing i did really was change from private to public school at the same time that the kids from public school went into high school, mainly for social reasons as there was only 40 kids in my grade in private school, and our golf team is strong at the school i go to now. I also take social studies(history in the US?) 10 online so that i can have a spare to workout in winter and golf in spring

I know this is going to sound really really nerdy but school comes first with me most of the time If I'm not golfing I'm swimming and if I'm not swimming I'm here

you go to school for 50 hours a week? that seems extreme

ya mine is each class one on one with a teacher once a week for 45 minutes and the rest is hw

i actualley think it is better for preparing for college because the class schedual is basically like college

i wouldnt say that it is like college seeing as college kids go to school for a lot more than 5 and a half hours a week

but it is like college in the fact that you dont have someone holding your hand making shur your doing your work everyday and how u must have a set schedual for hw otherwise your next class will come up and your workl wont be done

Yep. Practice 6 days a week for 3 hours after school and starting next week we are going to practice before school !OUCH! 2 meets this weekend too. My golf game has really suffered

Got another swimmer/golfer right here
I only swim 2 days a week for 3 hours though. A little more manageable. It's pretty much my winter sport (that, and hockey), but I'm not that great at either one. Golf's my best sport (even though that's not all that great either actually).

I could never imagine switching schools just for golf. My parents could never afford private school. That just seems insane going to school to play golf. It's different in the states (I'm in Canada), because your high school golf stuff is actually serious, ours really isn't.

the only thing really is SATs and GPA but its the same amount of school so 830-245 with 45 minute lunch. But in grade 12 you only really need like 5 courses to get enough credits instead of our regular 8
