My current Hoofer Lite and Jones Stripeshow or New Jones Trouper?

I currently have the previous model Hoofer Lite and a Jones Stripeshow (similar to the original carry bag). I walk many rounds and while I like carrying the Stripeshow, lately I’ve been playing with my 7 year old and instead of lugging two bags around, I will add his clubs to my Hoofer Lite and throw it on a push cart.

I love the styling of the Stripeshow but when I do ride on a golf cart, club tangle is really bad.

Functionally, I like the Hoofer Lite but I prefer the look of the Stripeshow but I also hate swapping my clubs back and forth.

Do you recommend I jump on the Trouper train? Will this be the best compromise for my situation? Thanks!

I have the stripeshow and love it. I prefer to walk and carry. What cart are you using? I have a clicgear 3.5. Never tried the stripeshow in it. I have a lot of bags and when taking my cart I Typically Sean bags. Picked up one of these rider cart Jones bag to try in a cart.

I wouldn't use the Stripeshow on a push cart. I use a cheap Caddytek/TGW Weekender when I do push. Those Jones cart bags are really nice. Wish they sold them here in the States. Just curious, how much do those weigh?

Nevermind. They weigh 8.3lbs.

Yep google says 8.3. They used to sell in the USA. I guess they weren’t a big seller. I’ve never seen another one on The course myself.

the stripeshow is a great bag. I like the all vinyl material and you can pair any Headcover set with it

I would imagine the Trouper would be the logical choice... I have been looking at the Varsity bag, but it only comes in white. The old Jones Utility was a great all around bag, carry, push, or ride, plenty of storage, well built... The Varsity is the closest thing to it. It's going to be smaller up top than the Trouper so you may get a little tangle.... I have a Hoofer Lite right now and I can not stand the tangle on it any longer. Unless I stand it straight up, I can not get the clubs back in the bag and I only carry 13. I have a Jones Players that I carry, or put on a riding cart, and that bag has far less tangle than most stand bags I have used. Could also maybe look at the Vessel bags, or even the Linksoul Linksoldier… It's on the smaller side but does a lot of things well and is light and pretty comfortable to carry. I gave in and bought a Srixon Z85 from a member here after owning a Srixon Z Four... that may have been the best all around bag I have had yet. Only thing I don't like about the Trouper is the leg mechanism on the outside of the bag... if you don't mind that then I am sure it is an awesome all around bag.
