Precision Pro NX9 vs Bushnell V4 with slope

Need some range finder advice. Trying to decide between the Bushnell V4 with slope or the precision pro nx9. Any advice or input would be great, thanks!

Been very happy with my V4. Works perfect every time. Recently bought a magnetic case for it too, only feature I was jealous of on the new Bushnell.

I've had both... heres my opinion. PP has as good of customer service I've ever seen and for the price, their products are very competitive with Bushnell. I like the magnet in the NX9 and the fact that they will send you free battery replacement, but left it on a cart the first week i had it. Two big things I didn't like was the button placement on the PP. The shoot button is so close to the mode button and they press very easily, so i found myself always pushing the mode which changes various settings without intending to. The other thing I didn't like was that it DOES NOT work in mild fog / early morning dew conditions. I returned it and got my money back and bought the bushnell v4 shift and love it. Always works in mild fog

Thanks for the info. I ended up ordering the B4 because I live in Massachusetts and have to deal with a lot of trees and often play early in the morning with fog. The fog was biggest worry I had.

I have the Bushnell V4 Shift and my wife has the non-shift V4 model. They're both very fast to lock on, accurate, and compact. Same readings when comparing. This is my third season with the V4 Shift (though currently not playing any golf) and I'm still on the original battery. No complaints at all. I don't know what Bushnell did on the new V5 to improve it as the V4 does everything I could want. Not familiar with the Precision Pro so can't make any comparisons.

I went from a Bushnell V4 w/slope to a PP NX9 HD. I think they are both really good products (although I agree with the button placement on the PP - it isn’t optimally placed). The reason for the switch was the difference in reviews on customer service. As long as your products work as designed, they are both great. If they do not, however, I think you are taking your chances with Bushnell.

So far so good with the V4. I purchased through dicks sporting good and hopeful they’ll handle any issues that may come up

I see people comment on Bushnell service. Over the past 12 years or so I've had various Bushnell rangefinders (V2, Z6, V4, V4 Shift). None have ever broken or gave erratic readings. I simply sold them to friends when I wanted to get a new model. Its possible you see a lot of complaints since Bushnell probably sells as many rangefinders (my guess here) as all the others combined.

I also have a Bushnell Excel GPS watch. The other day the band on it broke. The unit is maybe two years old. I called Bushnell and asked them how to change the band as it didn't seem to have the traditional spring pin holding the band on. I was going to purchase a band myself. The lady asked what color my unit was (the Excel comes in 3 colors) and said she would mail me a free replacement band with instructions. So my first time calling customer service and no issues.
