Brosnan Putter

So I found his putter in my dad’s garage and messed around with it a little bit and I’m surprised at how solid it is. I’m not a plumber neck/anser style guy I prefer more mid mallets but I was surprisingly shocked at how well I like the feel and set up of this. When I went to go look it up there is almost nothing on the Internet other than this is an Australian company. Does anybody know anything more about this putter? It’s a PM4 model.

Looks to be a cast head with a milled face and polished sole. That's all I get from the pics, no idea about the company.

Hoping a few more WRXers can weigh in. I've played 2 rounds with this putter now and I'm just shocked at how well I'm putting with it. It has a feel that I normally get with a 370 gram head but yet its this tiny head and just rolls really good right off the face. It's in the bag just hoping I can learn more about this putter.

Yes, Brosnan are a manufacturer of whole club sets here in Australia. Not bad clubs but lower end of the market. Been around at least 30 maybe 40 years.

Don't know much about their putters. You can buy the putters on their own at some golf stores, but usually they are sold as a whole package of driver, woods, irons, putter, bag.

I used a very similar putter from Brosnan yesterday, which I dug out of the garage.  Like you, I was shocked as to how nicely I putted with it, and how good it feels.  As someone said, Brosnan is in the lower range of golf products here in Australia however the older putters were obviously well made.

They’re just a wholesaler for Chinese made clubs, early ones like the putter are copies of famous styles of the time (ping pal there) 

 

I face milled an old Brosnan bullseyes knock off for the little boy, lt was generally shocking on uneven the face was…. Like it was properly giving me fits trying to level it in the vice, I had to test my dial indicator wasn’t broken 

 

then I said f it, it’s for a 4 year old and proceeded to take like .5 a mm off the face to get it flat hahahahaha
