Even if a club is rated 4 you could get a club with scrapes, skys, and scratches all over the club. They screwed me over twice and never admitted their ratings were off.

Despite their poor rating system they sell legitimate clubs. I'm sure, like others have mentioned, that they sell some fakes without ever knowing it.

Good luck.[/quote]

I ran into this same situation with a club that was rated good condition, not very good, and had a ridiculous amount of skymarks all along the leading edge. I immediately emailed them about it and they PROMPTLY issued me a RMA #. I was COMPLETELY surprised when they not only refunded the purchase price but the shipping, BOTH ways, as well! 3Balls rules! Most ebay sellers arent hardcore enough to also give you the shipping back like that.....

Go 3Balls, go!

I have had totally the opposite results. The clubs were far better than stated, one set of irons was new when it was declared as used, like new

Only gripe is they stopped shipping to Africa because of increasing courier costs

Ok. Are you guys (or gals, not trying to be sexist here) sitting down? Not only did the I get the club on time, It is better than the condition they said. It actually looks better than the 9.5 degree 905R i have now. And get this...I'm sorry I had to wipe away a tear, the item says specifically that no head cover would be included. Guess what was in the box with it. Yep...another brand new, tag still on it, head cover. I guess enough said. I will promptly go on to Ebay and give them 10 stars or however high that thing will go. I can't even explain how pumped I am to play this thing tomorrow. Long story, but I had been fitted to a 10.5 before had some balooning issues (or so I thought) and traded in my 905R with a Comp 460 and got the 9.5. Now all things should be right in the world. Did I say I was crying?

whenever i bought from 3balls, i had similar experiences. simply perfect. and they ship to europe within 3 days, which is just unbelievable.

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

These guys are top notch. One of the best sellers on Ebay. I would suggest if you do not want to get into a bidding war on Ebay that you check at www.3ballsgolf.com first.

Their inventory is constantly changing daily. All clubs are listed here first before they are offered on Ebay. Note in many cases I have seen items listed on their web site at a buy it now price that ends up being cheaper than what the final auction price on Ebay is. Example: I just purchase two Cleveland 588 BeCu wedges in MINT condition for $34.50 each or $69.00 on their web site. The same two wedges in MINT condition listed by 3balls with a starting price of only .99 just sold for $102.00 on Ebay.

Good Luck!

Great company. I've had similar experience, finding much better prices on their website than what it eventually sells for on ebay. But it varies depending on the model. They have fixed prices on each club, what a "good" or "very good" or "fine" version sells for on their website. I've noticed that it doesn't always correspond to the going rate on eBay. The key, of course, is to identify which ones they under value on their website and pounce on them there, and the ones they over price you wait for the ebay auction.

Another interesting aspect: They don't change the price based on headcover availability. It's listed in obscure fashion, whether a headcover is included or not with a hybrid or wood. That can be $5 to $25 more on ebay to replace the matching headcover, depending on how rare it is. I always try to find listings that include the headcover.

Here's a good tip for purchasing off the 3balls site: Try to find an order totalling slightly above $100. That qualifies for free ground shipping. Then you use the "tenoff" or similar coupon code. That drops the price to $90 but you still get credit for the $100 price and free shipping. Sometimes the free ship kicks in at $75 or even less depending on short term promotions, but $100 is standard.
