Looking for shaft suggestions...

I recently picked these heads up on eBay. A “928”, which is a King Cobra DF clone, and two Taylormade TP Raylors 16* and 19*. I’m having trouble deciding what shafts to put in these. Tips are .335”

I could keep completely vintage with TTDG’s or TT Lite’s. But I’m also intrigued by some “classic” graphites. Namely: EI-70, Graf Prolite, Aldila NV, or Lakers Special Proforce.

 

I figured I’d be smart and get some suggestions from the good people here....

I'm a fan of the NV shaft.  Have used it off and on for many years, and still using it. 

 

If you prefer something midflight, I think the VS Proto can still be found on fleabay...

Funny enough I bought the same 2 raylor heads on eBay earlier this year and they must be from the same seller in Huntington Beach ca.  Same photos I recall from the ad.  I’m also still thinking what to shaft them up with.   Heads sitting in a box in my closet.  Interested in what you go with.

A really nice period correct graphite shaft for the Cobra clone would be an AJ Tech offering. These were top of the line and had $300 price tags back then! They had models in .335" and .350". On occasion the shafts alone can be found on eBay. Additionally they were installed as a factory upgrade in Titleist 975 and Callaway Great Big Bertha drivers. IMO they were very much ahead of their time and it saddened me when they closed. Not sure if a better graphite shaft exists today.

I have an AJ Tech ZTour 90 in an SMT driver that was in the bag for a few years.  That was back when I had a little more thump in the trunk than I do these days.  😉

That would be the same seller! I couldn't pass them up, they looked too pristine to not add to my collection, whether I shaft them or not...

Heads are brand new.  The seller has a massive collection of mostly histories and classic persimmon clubs from the 50’s.  Not sure where he got the raylor heads but know hes sold multiple new sets of only heads.   Looking for a cheap shaft experiment with them as they aren’t worth investing much in.
