Aaron Lewis, lead singer of Staind, will be appear in The Golf Channel’s program, Academy Live, Monday DEC 5, 7:30 – 8:30pm ET. He will be talking about his love for the game of golf and how it relaxes him off stage. The one-hour instructional program offers expert insight and solutions presented through live demonstration and videotape analysis. Aaron has bought over 20 Bettinardi putters from me and hopefully he will have one with him like the one he is holding on the right:

Aaron has been on tour for a while now with Staind. So I don't know if his bag and putters are with him on his tour bus or at home. So we'll see what happens.

Staind is one of my favorite bands of ALL time!

I absolutely love these guys! Aaron has an AWESOME voice. I can't believe you have met him and played golf with him! How is he in person? He seems like a very down to earth guy.

Care to get him to sign something for me next time you see him?

I just got off the phone with Aaron and he told me his bag and putters are all at home as this was a last minute gig. So we will see what happens. He wishes he had everything, but he just found out about this late last week. It is on 4:30 PST, 6:30 central and 7:30 eastern time.

I had never heard of him before but I thought he seemed like a nice guy I would enjoy playing a round with. Anyone with the same obsession I have can't be all bad.

It was a pretty good although very short segment. I'd rather have listened to more about him then the "worlds worst golf swing" guy. Aaron seemed to have a major love for the game and also had a pretty good swing.

yeah i saw staind in concert awhile back before they became big...nice to see that he plays golf...he was swinging that lefty r7 pretty good too :)

I can't believe I F'in missed it! :cheesy: I was all set to watch it, got called to go work the hospital 20 minutes before it started. Set the VCR (yes, I'm a dinasaur) but forgot to drop in a tape. Oh well, at least I didn't have to verify that my swing was worse than the guy faking a crappy golf swing. It may do good for TGC to do a full 1/2 to hour special each week on "celebrity golfers." Can't be worse than watching the trailer-wreck that is the Gulbis show (see what I did there, I took out train and replaced it with trailer--clever).

At any rate, thanks for posting the information Todd. If anything I got to try to justify the coolness of my putter once again to the deaf ears of my wife. :)
