Tiger's 3-wood

Need opinions !

I have an opportunity to pick up a Nike T-60 (15 degree) fairway wood very cheap. I don't know much about the club other than I really like the size and shape. It must be decent if Tiger is playing it. This club has a stock Nike Fujikura (stiff) in it. I will probably change the shaft, but more interested in club feedback at this time. Your opinions are appreciated !!!

The T-60 is fairly easy to hit and it is really long. It tends to balloon like crazy with the stock shaft. It is overall a decent fw but not the best as a stock set up.

Probably the BEST 3 wood available today off of the tee.......not so good from the fwy.......don't know about the stock shaft as all I have are from Ft. Worth and are different high end shafts.......the way the club is set up it REALLY drives the ball like a driver off of the tee.....I can hit mine almost as far as my driver........but its been very difficult for me to hit anything reliable off of the ground......lots of upshooters, etc. Really a funny club.......I can hit it at least 20 yards further in the air (240 vs. 260) than my T-40 when I catch it off of a tee, but, at least 10 -20 yards SHORTER (220 vs. 240) off of the turf.......guess the COG is too high for me in 15 degrees of loft.....NOW, here in my area of Texas we have VERY firm and compact bermuda fariways, almost like hitting off of bare ground, so ALL 3 woods are HARD to hit off of the turf......if your up north or play from Zoyzia fairways the playability should be much more like I've described off of the tee........IF you can find the right head/shaft combo for you it will be a tremendous club.......

 

BTW, the TRUE "tour" T-40's are without question IMOP the best 3 wood I've ever played........NOT the stock club, but, the ones that were distributed from Ft. Worth......and they are BY FAR the easiest to hit from the fwy. I've played.......especially since they are still a viable club to hit off of a tee........

I agree with SliceFixer....down in the mid south, our turf is so dang hard that you have to be able to pick/pinch all fwy woods.

Very very long off the tee. Isnt all that great in the fairway, but, boy, it is long.

the t60 is long and accurate. Very good fairway wood
