Centered vs. Front of feet

Basically yes, but that doesn't mean you should shift all your weight to the balls of your feet. 

 

Some people have too much weight out towards the balls of the feet and toes. Others have too much weight on the heels. You want sort of an even distribution of weight on the feet with maybe a touch more on the balls of the feet. You normally wouldn't have extra weight out towards the back of the feet unless there's some kind of sloped lie where it can't really be avoided.

 

So all the guy is really saying about Bryson is that at some point he moved a little bit of his weight back.

Balance is so important in golf. If you are relying on leaning forward or backward in the swing to hit the ball on center, you will be very streaky. Its beat to have excellent balance over the ball, and also some hip bend. You can basically keep truck straight up and down(slightly forward) but you sacrifice some speed.

Your weight is going to transfer from your back foot to front foot for almost all shots. 

 

If you will focus more on channeling the weight and pressure to the inside of your back foot in the backswing and transferring the weight and pressure to the inside of the front foot in transition and letting it flow to the outside of your front foot through the downswing and follow through, you will finish off your toes and more balanced with 90+% of your weight on the outside of the front foot. Think of rolling onto the outside edge of the front foot. 

 

 

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Since everyone's proprioception is different, I would think of balance as the following:

 

1) At address, you want to be stable.  Basically, if someone were to push you (within reason of course) just before starting your backswing, you shouldn't really move.  If that means your weight feels like it's towards the heels, then so be it.  Likewise if that means like your weight is towards the balls of your feet -- so be it.

 

2) During the swing, there is an opposite relationship of the feet.  If weight goes towards the heel of one foot, weight needs to go towards the toes of the other foot to maintain balance.  If you lift your lead heel in the backswing, weight needs to go towards the heel of the trail foot in the backswing.  Likewise, when you "plant" the left foot in transition that is moving more weight towards the heel of your left foot, so the weight needs to start moving towards your trail toes.  The amount at which this happens will vary from person to person, but a seemingly exaggerated shift between heel and toe might also help some folks to promote actually turning their hips instead of sliding laterally.
