What's the difference between KBS MAX MT 85 and the KBS MAX CT 80 and the KBS MAX

My son was demoing the TM P790 w/ the MAX MT 85 stiff shafts and was hitting them well.  I went home to do some research on the KBS's and on the KBS website all I saw was KBS MAX CT- 80 and KBS MAX.  Are they the same or similar? On the TM website it states the MAX MT are high spin and high launch, and on KBS website the CT 80 and MAX are also high spin and high launch.    Are the MT 85 the TM stock shaft version like in their woods with the non velecore Ventus's?  TIA...

KBS provides custom versions of the MAX shafts to OEMs like Taylormde and Callaway. The MT 85 is one they make for Taylormade and there's a KBS MAX 90 that Callaway used in some of their irons. 

 

Unfortunately you're at the mercy of Taylormade/Callaway to provide information about their custom versions. They will be very similar to the KBS MAX standard shafts but there will be slight differences. It's frustrating.

Was this a “custom” option made for taylormade or a stock option in the p790s?

 

What might someone whos knowledgeable in this area suggest as a similar feel/kick that a kbs max mt 85 replacement would provide?

 

my cousin ordered “custom” clubs from a local shop beginning oct 2021. Original quoted 12-14weeks. He called and an estimate of May. 
 

im just wondering for him, if there was something similar to these that he might get his clubs quicker. Im sure TM will have a new set coming out and the ordered set will be on sale before he gets his order.
