looking for a father-teenage son weekend get away location

I'm putting together a weekend getaway for four pairs of father-son "teams." We are looking for something within a reasonable driving distance of Port Chester, NY - around 2.5 hours or less. The course should be playable for 11-14 year olds that aren't avid golfers but can make their way around a course. Lodging can be on the premises or available through a nearby hotel. If there are things for the kids to do outside of golf that would be a bonus. All ideas are appreciated! Thanks.

Check out Crystal Springs resort, in NJ.  About an hour drive from Manhattan.  They have six courses including a nine hole executive course, another nine hole regulation course with junior tees, and four other regulation courses of varying difficulty.  There are two lodges, a nice indoor/outdoor pool complex, and several dining options onsite.  Took the wife there several years ago and we had a lot of fun.

 Not sure when you are planning on going but Shawnee on the Delaware has 3 nines that you can play in various combinations, a lighted par 3 course, and a large hotel.  There is some cool golf history there (PGA Championship, Arnie met his wife there), playable for a variety of skill levels and some excellent scenery. Most of the course is on an island in the Delaware River, and there are a few holes that actually play over a portion of the river. 
 

A few buddies of mine and myself stopped here during a trip out to Bethpage and we all really enjoyed ourselves. At that time we had players ranging from Scratch to 18+ handicaps. Hope you all have a wonderful trip wherever you end up!

I realize it is a bit further of a drive, but Turning Stone has 3 nice courses.
