Advice for 13 year old beginner

My 13 year old son who is 63" have decided that he wants to start play golf again. He played when he was 4-7 years but stopped and prioritized gaming instead but is now very motivated for golf. He has been since picking up golf again been using a 25 year old ladies set and I would like to buy him a more updated set. However I find it difficult to decide what to buy, therefore I`m hoping for some good advice from the board. I consider him a beginner but he played when he was younger and knows the

basics and can swing even if CHS is not very high. 

As I see it there are some different options:

1. I went to a golf store and they recommended me Cobra King juniorset 13-15 years but it did not feel right and decided to continue the search, but maybe it`s a good starting option?

2. Buy a ladies OEM set, like Callaway Rogue, TM Stealth or similar. Length wise these are good but shaft might not be the best?

3. Order a Flynn or US kids TS3 set.

4. Buy irons, wedges and woods separate? For instance Flynn irons, Vokey wedge ladies, OEM woods and hybrid ladies. 

4. Cut down a senior flex set.

5. Let him grow in to a mens set.

6. ?

 

Any recommendations?

At 13, I don't see junior or ladies clubs to be an option at 6'3".  I would get his swing speed measured with the driver at the least.  He is more than likely going to be in adult men's clubs.

He is not 6 feet 3 inches he is 63 inches.

My 13 yo started with that Cobra set.  It was fine for learning. except for the driver head snapping off after about 6 months.   

 

My son got into golf pretty intensely from the start and was a completely different player after about 6 months.   He used that set as a base, and then replaced the driver, then irons, then wedges and fairway woods with fitted men's clubs.

 

I don't really have regrets going that direction.   It definitely adds up, but if he would have got fitted men's clubs from the start, he would have probably changed them all out in a few months anyway as he improved and grew and got a feel for what kind of clubs and shafts he liked.

Maybe just get a mid iron, wedge and maybe a driver in senior shaft to begin with? 
 

it’ll buy you a few months and see how fast your son can improve?
