PGA National Resort

Planning a guys trip next fall and thinking of PGA National Resort. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Play only the Champ or Palmer at the resort. Bayhill estates out west on Nothlake too. Don't waste your time on the other two or the par 3.

Worth playing the Champ once. Other courses are just average but convenience of staying on resort makes it worth it.

Enjoyed our stay at the resort, would go again... plan a dinner at 1000 North or Tiger's restaurant in Jupiter one night. Night cap at the Square Grouper obviously.

Some outdated information here. The Match is the must-play course at the resort because it's unique and fun. The Champ is like getting kicked in the teeth for five hours with no letup. Maybe play it once while you're on property but The Match is awesome and The Staple par-3 course is one of the best of its kind.

Also, just FYI, the resort has spent $100 million in the last couple of years and has gone pretty upscale.

Thanks, we will be playing The Champ, Palmer and one other. We are all staying at the resort and not driving anywheree due to the drinking that will be done and there are 20 of us going. How are the restaurants on the premises?

Can't agree with this more. I'm guessing the first to responses have not played this prior to the renovation. Pre-renovation the Champ and Palmer were the only two worth playing. The Match is excellent and I enjoy it more than any of the other 18 hole courses on property. Staple is fantastic - a walking only 9 hole par three. I play the Champ in charity tournaments but if I was going to pay to play it would only be for the Match and Staple.
