KJ Choi - Identify this Nike iron?

I know there has been some talk about a new Pro Combo iron. I got this photo at the Accenture today. I don't personally remember any Nike irons that had a red color scheme. I did not get any better pictures so I can't tell for sure what they are.

Looks like an older Ignite to me. Could be wrong, but that is also what is listed for his 3 & 4 irons.

exactally what I was thinking, I was hitting nike blades at golf mart an hour ago and those are not even close to the same toe or top line, plus way too big, nike blades are tiny

He was playing all ignites in the last tournament. I noticed when it came to his wedges and short irons, they were not the blades. It almost seems like he changes to how he is hitting the ball or to the course setup. I am just guessing with why but he was using all ignites last tourney. I wish nike would release the full set of ignites with the 3 iron, they are really good clubs.

Somewhat off topic, but what kind of putter do you think KJ has under that cover? Sticking with the Scotty Cameron perhaps?

According to the guys in the Nike tour van, "KJ changes clubs ALL the time"... currently Ignite and blade combo (but the break changes daily, most days 3-4 Ignite 5-pw blade, but also as much as 3-9 ignite), TM Burner TP 3w, hybrid/5w changes a lot, and to see the same shaft in his driver for 3 weeks is rare.

As of last week he had switched from the trihot to the new Studio Select from SC. The big red dots were easly seen on GC and the telecast.

yap. I was at the Riviera 5 th hole standing right next to him in the rough where he only advanced the ball about 10 yds. He was using ignites for his irons.....

third shot from 148 yds, he used 8 iron to within 15 ft from the hole, then 2 putts for bogey....

That Club Kite thing looks cool. Just checked online, and it's an Australian company. Not much information on the thing. Anybody know anything about it?

I'm guessing the kite adds wind resistance so you can warm up with it.

Irons look like the Ignite, but the "fin"/weight isn't clearly visible, so it is hard to say. The orange graphic is orange, not red as it appears here.

 

COULD be the Ignite but maybe not. Maybe there is a swing pic on Yahoo or Getty Images?

KJ is playing a full set of Ignite irons right now...He does switch alot between Blades; CCI and recently since Tour Championship he has been playing Ignites or Ignite/Blade Combo.

 

Ignites are really solid clubs, all the better player needs to do is change the shaft and it plays like a Ping.
