First impression on the course was good. I didn’t get this to fix anything with my putting. I’m putting great right now. I just wanted it.

My other putter is a pro platinum Mid Sur head that’s set up the exact same way. 375g head, 34” LAGP 135, SS Tour 2.0 with 25g countercore weight. The X5 actually feels lighter to me. Must be because of the head shape and having the weight spread out more.

The X5 is was immediately good inside 10 feet. I think I’d already give it the edge there over the Mid Sur. I also made a couple nice putts from 20-30 feet.

The only thing I need to get used to is long lag putting. I had a few really long ones playing in 15-20 mph winds. The ball doesn’t come off the face as hot and I was coming up short. Not bad, just different and it was consistent. Probably a good thing in the long run as I tend to hit those too hard.

Finally, it’s ridiculously cool looking. Looking cool is half the battle.

That does look amazing!! Hope it earns the spot in your bag!

Oh it’s firmly in the bag. My first tournament of the season is still 6 weeks away, but I’d use it in a tournament tomorrow.

How much weight did the "neck" add? Did you think of leaving the heel weight out of head to help offset it? Looks great dude..

He said the head was about 375g with the 10g weights, which would mean the neck added about 25 grams. I wasn’t there to confirm before the shaft install, but that feels about right compared to my other 375g putter.

It feels perfect as-is. I actually tried 5g weights and it felt light to me. Part of that is the counterbalanced nature of the LAGP shafts.

I thought a neck like that would be closer to 40g. Regardless if the putter is working, keep it going.

Regardless of the weight, you have the ability to swap weights. Very convenient imo.

Great looking putter! Was the refinish required because of the neck weld or something that you wanted to add?

Refinish isn’t required, it would just show the raw weld marks.

Another member posted an unfinished Squareback with a new neck and it looked pretty cool.

Not sure how I missed this post, but I think you’re probably right.

I have the 5g weights in it now and am putting great.

Liam over at embrace is a magician!

I had a Futura 6M customized with a long weld neck I love the face balance feel of the long neck so much that I sent in an X5 to have a long weld neck done to it as well.

It's almost ready, so this Futura 6M might sneak it's way over to BST in the event my wife wants to inflict bodily harm LMAO

Looking to go through embrace as well, what are the advantages or “feel” for the knuckle neck?
