Turner Hill in Ipswich

Has anybody played this course? I've heard so much about the financial difficulties, but I have yet to read any reviews of the course.

I got to play it last year thanks to a client. The course itself is unbelievable. Very challenging, but fair. Big wide fairways, strategically placed fairway traps, plus a couple holes with huuuge drop-offs in elevation. And because they don't get much play, the conditions are pristine. The old monestary (I think?) beyond the 10th and 17th greens make for a great view. If you get the chance, check out their hole by hole tour (with photos) on their site. It's worth it.

I had the opportunity to play it last summer ........a beautiful course that's in incredible condition! If you get a chance to play it, make sure you go to the range to warm up - Wow!

Had the chance to play there back in 2006 and really loved it. For a modern golf course, it was very fair and a great test. The course was in mint condition and the only thing i disliked was the 2nd green, the par five, i thought it was too unfair and didnt fit with how nice the rest of the course was. The monestary is really beautiful and the back tee on 18 sits almost in it, really cool. Also, be sure to check out the extensive practice facility which has a nice 100yd area. I read recently on their website that padrig harrington played there last summer (2007) and loved it.

Really a cool place if you can get out there.
