Callaway Epic - Top of the head fell off!

Wrong answer Dicks Sporting goods...send those photos to Callaway and they will certainly send out a replacement because if they can see that the club wasn't being abused the last thing they want to happen is to see pics on forums like this one with the customer saying that they weren't taken care of regardless of the timeframe the club was purchased within.  It isn't even Dick's decision anyway, it's Callaway's, so Dick's should have sent the club back to them and they will examine it and make a decision on a replacement.

We humans are so odd. 

 

We play right along as manufacturers make everything thinner and lighter over generations of products. When those thinner and lighter products prove not to last as long as the old all-titanium stuff we blame the manufacturer for making things too thin and too light.

 

I feel bad for the OP's friend but his purchasing strategy is pretty obvious. He bought the Epic line two years ago when it was four generations old. He just bought the Mavrik as a replacement and it's four generations old. Why should Callaway bend over backwards for someone who only buys their products when they're marked down 50%?

Like I said, I am surprised they will not replace it OR fix it, for the reasons I stated.  I had a five year old ping putter that the head fell off and ping fixed it, no cost.
