Counterfeit Scotty Cameron Headcover check / strange AM&E label

I picked up an excellent condition SC Art of Putting headcover via 2ndSwing that has an AME label that I haven't seen before. 

 

The headcover looks, feels and seems genuine plus I have another identical (but more worn) example with the proper/normal AME tag. 

 

Anyone else come across one of these labels?  Seems odd to perfectly counterfeit the cover and not the label!  I suppose 25 years ago, more than one label may have been used.  Thanks.

Looks real to me.   I prefer the counterfeit myself but a deal on real can’t be passed up.

I don't think anyone is counterfeiting headcovers that were manufactured over two decades ago. Just don't think there's a market for that...

I was serious, I have a few and they are cooler than real Scotty’s anyway and $20 so wins around.  
 

I may be the only person on the planet with a studio design 1 that was sent to Gold’s factory Japan for a full mod/refinish that is sitting in a fake Japan only scotty head cover.

The OP's headcover is real. 👍

 

There are a few fakes of this AOP headcover knocking around. Material on this is puffy and when the stitching is applied it leaves a depression because of the poor quality materials used.
