Stroke lab shaft with weight change

Long story short  is there any negative impact on the stroke lab shaft with changing to a heavier weight head and grip weight.  I have a R ball which i replaced the stock weight (14 grams) to a 30 gram.  Then changed the stock grip and weight (105) to a ss 3.0 and 50 gram weight ( 116 grams) .  Now that i type this whole thing out were only talking about 30 gram difference, so I'm probably safe in thinking no change but im this deep in already with the question so i might as well get some validation

The feel and performance is much better with the new set up.  The stock setup just never felt right so it just sat in the bag with the other clubs that didn't make the bag, But now its got a chance to getting out there for a while

What negative impact are you worried about? The shaft isn’t going to break from the added weight. However, you added 16 grams to the head so that is going to increase the swing weight by 8 units. You added 10 grams to the butt so that will reduce the swing weight by 2 units. To me a 30 gram increase in total weight and a 6 unit increase in swing weight would make the putter feel like a sledgehammer. But if if feels good to you that is all that really matters.

I guess the only negative i would think  would be throwing off the whole intent of the stroke lab shaft with the weight change not sure if the design feature was based off a certain overall weight, unlike a 100% steel shaft.

it is def heavy, much heavier than my circa 62. the only real downside of the heavier putter is adjusting the stroke to be shorter  the misses are going a little further past the hole than i would like. But every putt is getting to the hole never left it short lol

Theory of the stroke lab shaft is to move as much weight to the ends as possible to create a smoother swing. Regular steel shaft weighs 100 to 120 grams. Stroke lab shaft is right around 70 grams. They increase the head weight and add a 30 gram butt weight (this is based on my experience with Toulon putters). This keeps the total weight about normal but moves it out to the ends. You are just taking it a step further down that path.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
