Driver: Push Slice

Really struggling with my driver at the moment and have lost all confidence with it. I’ve developed a push slice or at best a push  fade. Thankfully my irons and putting is keeping me in the game. 
 

I’ve assumed that my clubface is open relative to the path and would welcome any suggestions or drills that might help me.

Following also.  The push slice is my major swing issue and killed my round today.

The push slice for mid and single digit handicaps often comes from early extension in some form. Standing up and easing the handle a ton. Very common thing.

 

There is always a reason they do it, though. We can’t know that without seeing the swing.

Any tip could make it worse if it’s not addressing why.

 

Could be trying to hit up too much and dropping right shoulder.

 

It could open club and spinning shoulders open.

 

The fix for one would destroy the other.

Broomforce has been brilliant for my irons but sadly the driver has been 💩 for months and confidence at an all time low. I don’t even bother taking it out for the weekly club comp. 
 

it’s not pretty but any pointers appreciated

Bad camera angle but backswing upper body turn is very flat and you extend at the hips tucking your pelvis underneath you and standing up. Tough spot to overcome.

To me, it looks like you've got the makings of a potentially very good driver swing. You take it back on plane, and you look to deliver the club on a similar plane -- but the downswing plane is higher. I think it's higher because it has to be -- because you've gotten out of your posture gradually throughout the swing, and so you deliver the club directly from it's top-of-backswing position. You've got to throw the club down to the ball with mostly your arms and hands because you're no longer angled down toward the ball. This has you ultimately cutting across the ball. With that path, a square or slightly open face is going to result in a fade/slice that starts straightish or right.

 

If you can stay in your posture (or even increase your bend more and go down after the ball) and feel like you're "staying behind the ball" on the downswing through impact, I suspect you'll shallow the club and your path will change. Now, how you go about that, exactly, is probably better left to the instructors.
