Anyone use a rower at home to help keep in shape?

 

Been looking around for a single piece of equipment.

I am not sure what you are after here, but I do have a rowing machine, and I like it.  It really is a good workout both for cardiovascular and working your muscles.

 

If you haven't rowed, or get bored (and sliding back and forth looking at the wall is more than boring) I would look at a ProForm rower.  Not terribly expensive, has a little video screen and you can pay like $12/ month to get videos.  Alex Gregory, if you have never rowed, is a world champion and he shows you how to do it and not get hurt (if you need that), and then there are all types of workouts ranging from 15 minutes to 50 minutes, indoor workouts with some off the machine strength work, or you can row in Tahiti, England, etc.

 

I am not a personal trainer, but I know myself, and doing it without someone telling me to speed up, change resistance, etc. would have relegated to the piece to a clothes horse in 3 weeks.

I was looking at the Concept2, but this looks promising. Is it a solid piece of equipment?

I have had it a couple of years, but I would say R10, I don't remember.  I haven't had any problems with it to date.  I bought it in November '21.  I have to admit I didn't use it for about 8 months because of tendonitis in my elbow, but I enjoy the workouts I do on it.

Nothing fancy, but a few weights around, to keep myself in shape (well, reasonably).
