spider is one of the most popular and best selling putters…….ever.  Some people don’t like inserts which prevented spider from becoming an option for them.   Now there is a milled version that opens that door.  Word spread it’s good. 
 

jailbird is a flash in the pan.  It was niche product that didn’t take off 10 years ago.  The reasons they sell for less than retail now is many people bought to flip, and many people found that a long heavy counterbalanced putter does zero to help them on slow soft greens.

People pay over retail for lots of stuff but that doesn’t mean oems immediately go out and make more just to please some (not just with clubs either).  Comparing the craze of the JB to this milled spider (that not a lot of people even know about) is just silly.  Clark won the US Open, Fowler went on a nice heater and Bradley ended up winning with it too, all in a very short span of time.  That is what made people crazy about getting their hands on them.  Most people who buy TM putters want the “pure roll” insert anyways from what TM has stated many times.  
 

With that being said, I’d love to see TM come out with a full spider milled line with different neck configurations but it sounds like that is more wishful thinking at this point.

We shall see.  Lets check in again in January.  I would put money on being able to buy these (spider tour proto x or spider milled) at a retailer by march of 24.

Anything is possible I guess but as of now, they are not available to order in the 24 product catalog (from a TM insider).  If they were getting a full run early next year, they would definitely be listed for accounts to order.

Was the tour proto x listed in the 23 catalog back inNovember 22?

Come on man…. The Proto Tour X was a one-off for SS and the JB was a mid year off the cuff release.  So of course, they would not have been listed on the order form in late 22….
 

You just said a January or march release for the Proto X Tour correct?  So yes, under that premise, they would be available to order for 24 stock accounts 🤦

Im not claiming it will be a regular release and in stock at your local retailer.

 

We’ve both made our points.  Lets check back in a couple of month instead of taking up thread space with speculation?  Agree?

These kind of club threads are always full of speculation, that’s why most of us are here, keeps this place alive…  
 

Not sure why you didn’t order this club when it was available?  I remember you posting a lot when it was released, may have missed your chance at retail.
