Protoconcept C07 short review

Received my Protoconcept C07 irons. Went with 6 thru PW and got the Protoconcept forged cavity back 50 degree wedge. Shaft that was best for me is the Nippon neo 950 in regular.

I have played twice with these irons, came within 7” of a hole in one yesterday with the my 8 iron.

I love the flight, they want to go straight, which is what I prefer. I have hit a fade and draw with them, but usually play to a straight shot. The forgiveness is outstanding, I hit my 6 iron out on the toe and it still made it to the green. I have also thinned a shot and it came out really nice.

The look of the club is nice, all of my playing buddies commented how nice they look. Of course I have to spend a bit of time explaining who makes this club.

Coming from Epon 505, these feel just as good and with the shaft I have in them, I like the feel better than the Epon irons. The way the shaft loads and the feel at impact is amazing.

The cost is high, but for me, I’m retired and play 4 days a week, I want a set of clubs I love.

I forgot to add to the review - I was able to demo these from aspengolfdirect. Matt sent me five shafts and the C07 #7 head to demo for a week. I used the demo on the course, hit at PGASS in the practice bay and also went to club champion with the demo club and tried another brand I was interested in. I felt I did my due diligence.

+1 too! AspenGolfDirect is awesome!! I had the same experience and he helped me decided on clubs too!!
