Friendliest course for a new golfer in Williamsburg Va

Doing a Williamsburg golf weekend for my bachelor party in April and we have pretty good mix of seasoned golfers and guys who have only played once or twice their entire life.  We are hitting Brookwoods in New Kent on the way out there (we are in Richmond) but want to play somewhere in or right outside Williamsburg on Saturday.  Because of the varying degree of skill within the group I'm trying to find a player friendly/easier course based on this list.

• Williamsburg National (Yorktown or Jamestown)
• Kiskiack
• Golden Horseshoe Green
• Colonial Heritage 

 

We will probably do a Scramble format both days but I just want to make sure the less experienced players aren't playing a course where they'll lose 2 balls every hole.

I've never really scored well here, but I feel like Viniterra has the widest fairways of any of the courses down there and isn't too penial off the tee 

 

Only played C.H. and Kiskiack once, on my first trip there, and don't remember too much about them.  Only played the front 9 on Horseshoe green, but I feel like there were a lot of trees out there.

I've only played green. It's definitely friendlier than gold and I would call it reasonably friendly. Several holes were flanked by small mounds that helped keep balls in-play, however if you aren't skilled enough to stay inside the mounds you might loose a lot of balls. When you get outside of the general course boundary on that course (and gold) you're usually running into very dense vegetation and trees - often times marked a hazard - that you won't find a ball in.

 

As a general guide check the course slope ratings. The lower the slope the better it should be for a beginner.
