Fuji Air Speeder 40

Just wondering if anybody has hit this shaft in R-flex. It was/is a stock offering in Titleist drivers. I’m intrigued but the torque spec for the R-flex is 8.0. I’ve never seen a torque spec this high…

 

Any insight would be greatly appreciated…

I have one,I like it a lot ,a nice high ball flight and it was very straight for me,It felt better then the stock blue ventus.you would never guess the torque is 8.0

Thanks. Can I ask what your swingspeed is? And normal carry on driver?

I gave the Airspeeder a try during a fitting. If your swing is smooth with a nice slow long backswing and if you have a good timing, this shaft works very good. I had the longest carry distance with this shaft, smash steady over 1.45

But if I am not fully concentrating, this shaft goes out of plane very quick, the dispersion was awful. The Airspeeder I did try was a stiff version with SS of slightly below 100 and the Airspeeder felt the softest of that day during my test. The fitter suggested to tip trim this shaft to bring the dispersion down, but we found a better alternative later. 
 

and to mention this also: I did buy a Airspeeder 45 which is a made for shaft and weights 52gr in stiff version. I did tip trim 1 inch and play this one in winter because the carry is longer than my gamer. In summer my gamer gives me better dispersion and more roll.

I play the Air Speeder regular that comes stock in the TEE C721 fairway woods. I have a somewhat aggressive short swing being a 64 yr old senior. I found the shaft to be soft feeling,slightly flexy for me. I hit my fairways high and straight and I like the feel of the shaft. The shaft gives me the feeling I would be hitting the ball all over the place but that is not the case.

 

I was a little leery of going with the Air Speeder in my C721 driver so I went with TEE stock Ventus Red which performs well for me. I recently bought an Air Speeder 40 regular off Ebay with a TEE tip to try out in my driver.. The graphics are different from the TEE offering so I don't know if there is anything different between the two. 

 

The Air Speeder gave me a slightly lower ball flight which was a bit surprising to me. I play my C721 on the 10.5 setting with the TEE Ventus red. Distance wise it appeared the Air Speeder was slightly longer. I lofted the driver up and saw better results and finally lofted it up to the 12* setting where I noticed a consistent ten yard gain. My dispersion is the same as it was before and I am happy with the distance gain. 

 

My driver distance is around 220. Slightly longer now.

My swing speed is around 98 I have a slow back swing but an aggressive downswing,Normal carry is 240ish

Thanks for the information. Maybe I will give it a try. And you use the R-flex untipped?

Yes regular flex but I did shorten it from the grip side so it plays at 45in in driver
