Heading to the masters. 3 days of golf prior. Please drop suggestions!

Hi everyone,

 

have the opportunity to attend Monday / Tuesday rounds in Augusta. Taking off work Friday to begin the drive / golf through the weekend from northwest AR. 
 

current plans: play in Memphis area on Friday (tunica national?)

Saturday, looking at mossy oak / old waverly in Mississippi.
Sunday - need most suggestions here, have played a couple of RTJ courses but will be driving the rest of the way to Augusta after this round. Anyone know of a gem in AL / east Georgia that we should check out?

That seems like a lot of long days....

 

If it were me, (and I just HAD to play golf on the way) I would take the day Friday to drive to Birmingham. Play the RTJ courses there (Ross Bridge and/or Oxmoor Valley) on Saturday and Sunday. Then, make the 4 - 4 1/2  drive to Augusta on Sunday afternoon.

 

I just think that 3 days of long car rides combined with 4+ hour rounds of golf each day would leave you so exhausted by the time you got to Augusta that you couldn't enjoy it the way you want to.
