Custom fit gloves?

Hey guys. Wondering if you could help me with something. I decided to go back to wearing a glove after a long time away from them (basically haven’t worn one since I started). Looking for a little more grip security. One reason that I stopped wearing them was because I wear an xxl, and my options and finances were limited back then.

Anyway, I go to look for one, and I couldn’t find one in the whole store that fit. We narrowed it down to the xxl, but apparently, my thumb fits the xl. There is material left over at the top of the thumb.

First question, would that left over material be oroblematic in the swing?

Second, are there glove companies that make custom sized golf gloves for my mismatched hand? Thanks for any help you can give.

I’ve searched periodically over the years for Custom Gloves. Quite some time ago there was a company who did this, I suspect there was little to no demand, disappeared.

From time to time I had someone with a sewing machine tighten up the loose thumb…

Or keep on not using a glove by trying a leather Bestgrips microperf - midsize is available and they’re reduced taper.

I’m in hot and humid Asia and need no globe in sweat or rain.

Depends, apart from the extra thumb length, if your thumb width fits snugly. If it does I’d say the extra material won’t matter. Buy one and try it out. I’ve seen guys put a wrap of tape around the thumb.
Sometimes I get gloves that my thumb is loose in and my thumb is not secure on the shaft. IOW while the leather is secure on the shaft, but my thumb moves inside.

If you have access to a sewing machine turn the thumb inside out, sew to new length as needed, trim off any excess, should only take a couple minutes.
