Problem Posting pics.

I've sold as recently as last week and now I can't post pics. It won't let me use the [image] [image] thingy either, which is how I've always done it. What gives?

Yes I've read them. My pics are fine in size. There's something funny goin on here....not blaming anyone, but one day it works and now it doesn't.

When I click on the "insert Image" thingy, a thing comes up below my menu bar that says "This website is using a scripted window to ask you for info. If you trust this website, click here to allow scripted windows". It's never done that before, EVER!

That is a machine settings with your Internet browser or Security software. That I cannot help you to figure out. From looking at the BST forum and regular forums, the problem seems to be isolated. You need to check your security settings in IE or Firefox and allow scripting for the GolfWRX domain.

I've tied to put them on the other way, which I have done also, and it flat won't do it. Check my listing that sold March 8th, I believe. TP Mills putter. I did that the normal way, by just uploading them in the post and now nothing.

You have a local computer issue that I cannot help you troubleshoot as I don't know your system. The only thing I can recommend is using another browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, then try Firefox.

Please tell the other people to post in this thread. Maybe a common configuration issue can be found on the local machines. It is not a server issue.

Please look at my attachments in "My Controls" and in my March 7th listing that sold. I am doing the same exact thing and my computer is fine. My pictures are fine. It just sits and spins. It spun for 15 minutes and nothing happened for 3 pictures. I clicked post pics and it says "you have attachments to add" or close to that, then at some points after I hit preview while it was still spinning it said "Initializing attachments" then nothing. There's something going on here. Has this place changed since the 7th???

Someone else must be having trouble posting besides us 2. I got a PM reply notice from a member in my Email box and it was repeated 10 times! AND repeated in my PM box.

 

Looks like we need some investgative work. I know it's not easy, but I've been trying to post pics for a week now with no luck and just posting is getting to be a pain.

 

Why can't they all be as simple as GD and FGI?

Resize your pictures to 800x600 in jpg format. The fact that this site is slow for you, also points to a local machine problem. All the instructions for resizing pictures are located in the help forum. This is a very busy board but, many people are not having problems. Lots of listing and pictures are going up.

 

There are over 1500 visits a day and only a very small fraction of people are having problems that are not related to the server or under something I can control. If you can't post your pics on a hosting service and link them here or upload pictures, then you have local machine problem.

I am having problems as well I am doing the same thing I have always done click browse, insert image they are not resized as I can not figure out how to resize, and there is not enough alcohol in the world to help me try that frustrating search again, but have never had issues in the past. After image is selected I click upload and it spins upload for less than a minute and in the bottom left hand it says done and there are no attachments in the manage attachments section and all of the 5 image upload boxes disappear. I think my computer need a series of shotgun blasts.

The topic of resizing pictures is covered very thoroughly in the website help section. They are all pinned at the top of the section.

The madness continues I click browse in one of the 5 image blocks supplied for a for sale add and choose the image, note: I have only been trying to load 1 image as multiples failed. Then I click upload and it spins on file uploading for less than 1 minute and then all of the image upload boxes disappear and there is nothing in the manage attachments. File size is fine somewhere around 1024x768 never an issue until now have had 5 adds prior to this and never a problem.

Your pictures are too large in size. It will not work unless resized. Resize your pictures to 800x600.

i've assisted several members with their photos in the BST and the common denominator is that the file sizes are way too large - 1.5MB upwards of 2.2MB each.

 

windows XP users should use the Windows XP Powertoy ImageResizer: http://download.microsoft.com/download/whi...wertoySetup.exe

 

Mac users should use Preview, the default app for image files, to resize.
