My First 36 Holes with my PXG O311 P Gen 6.. Success!

Ive probably played Dozens of irons over the past 15 years or golf.

Was a huge club Whore back in the day slowed down recently but never actually tried PXG Clubs. I once purchased gen 1 irons but felt so Douchy owning them I sold them before I hit them.

I ordered 0311 Gen 6 Blind and they arrived the other day. Called and asked what they had for DG Shafts (Not much listed ) and they gave me Mid 115 no upcharge.

4-Gap DG Mid 115 shafts.

I LOVE these clubs. I had the 2 best ball striking round in 11 months. The Are Long and forgiving. I was worried about he Size but they are no problem from the rough. The Also Feel INCREDIBLE.

I'm a believer. I'll pay these hopefully all year.

I also bought 2 wedges 54 and 58 and I don't really like them. It's VERY difficult to knock Vokey out of the Bag. Ill likely game 4-Gap and throw my 56S 60M SM10 back in the bag.

I like these so much I'm considering a Black Ops Driver and 17 /22 hybrids Blind

Have you played the TM P790, if so, how do they compare? Similar lofts, and size, but probably feel goes to PXG?

Feel, Looks and Distance.... They were fricken great.

I had the 790s I hated the feel and the 790s (the latest version) we not as long as they should have been.

The T200 were almost as good as PXG just as long probably looked better but PXG feel is a 10/10.

I just got a set of PXG 0311P irons last week. They are replacing my Ping I500 irons that I have had in the bag for the last 5 years. My I500s were power loft specs and by far the best irons I have ever played. The 0311P have almost identical specifications to my I500 power spec set. I find that I don't hit the PXGs quite as long as the I500s, I am guessing due to a bit more spin since all the other specs are nearly identical. I think the PXGs are going to be a bit more consistent. First real test for them is going to be tomorrow.

awesome lets hear about it.

I have my 3rd round with them tomorrow and 4th Tuesday. I think these will be in bag all year. I was throwing darts today for the first time all year.
