PGA Films 16mm 8mm 1950’s 1960’s

Do any of you classic enthusiasts have any 16mm PGA film reels from the 1950’s or 1960’s? How about 8mm home movies shot at tournaments during the 1950’s and 1960’s?

I am producing a documentary on Champagne Tony Lema and am looking for film from the 1950’s and 60’s. Obviously looking for Tony Lema footage but also just of life on the tour from that era.

I will pay to have your old film reels transferred to digital format and the original reels returned to you along with the digital copy.

Please let me know what you may have or any leads to collectors that might have Tony Lema footage.

I'm guessing you've already check "Shells Wide World of Golf"....there are a number of games that involved Tony Lema

Yup, we actually purchased an original 16mm print of Tony vs Chen Ching-Po and have digital versions of he Roberto De Vicenzo and Peter Alliss.

Thanks Foozle, I appreciate it. We have been working on this for the last year and hope to have it completed by the end of this year. I will definitely share with the forum once complete as everyone here in the Classic corner of the forum is our target audience.

WOW! I'd love to get a hold of digital versions of most any of the Shell's shows....how did you get the digital?

I've oftened wondered how many of the Shell's tapes still exist there are a few on youtube but when going over the list of all the episodes in the 1960s there are a lot missing.
