Well I bought one of these things hoping I could get my hibore XL to open up a little bit, but it did not work. I know the add states it is for Taylor and Ping, but after speaking with the rep at Golfsmith he said it would work, so I got one. No such luck. Now all I have is a shaft that sits square and a crooked ferrule.

It may work on tm an ping, but if you are looking to put it in a cleveland product, save your money and try and shim it instead.

Save the 12.00 and get a sleeve of PV's or 2 combo meals at Micky D's.

there is a model made specifically for callaway and a model made specifically for TM/Ping. its no wonder it didn't work. it wasnt made for your club.

Billy Bob makes two different loft and lie adapters.

 

One fits new Callaway heads with large hosel openings that require an adapter already to get to .350 or .335 - like the FT-i, and the other fits Taylor Made and Ping heads that also require an adapter already - like the R7 and the G5, G10 or Raptor.

 

They are not made for any "generic" head - they are specifically made to fit these heads, and in these heads they do exactly what they are designed to do.

 

Trying to use one in another head based on the recommendations of a salesman at Golfsmith is what got you in trouble - not the quality of the adapter in it's designed application.

 

Call Golfsmith and get your money back. He sold you a product that was not designed to do what you were attempting to do. That's all.

Actually, the BillyBob adaptors are GREAT products. I have used both models in builds for people, and they turned out doing exactly as advertised. Sounds like you got an employee at the store who didn't know what the product was intended for........please, don't bash a great product that makes face manipulation on heads it was DESIGNED for a painless process!

I was thinking of doing this with my Cleveland DST 3w, when I pulled it I remember the hosel looked very similar to my Rapture V2 hosel, so much that I used a ping ferrule with the collar on the DST and was hoping I could use the ping clock ferrule.

Anyone got it to work?
