Scotty's Apology-Please Accept My Sincere Apology

Dear Club Cameron Member,

I hope this finds you well, life is good. The response to the staff bags has been fantastic! As many of you know, we had an overwhelming response and demand for the Scotty Cameron staff bags released to the Club last Thursday. In fact, we've never seen anything like it. Our website traffic went through the roof.

We had no idea we would create a server overload. In fact, our entire bag inventory was sold out within four minutes of going live in the Studio Store. The only reason for announcing the exact time of the staff bag availability was to give Club Cameron members fair notice that these pieces would be online.

To those who were unable to secure a bag, I offer you my sincere apology. If we were unable to fulfill your order and your credit card was billed, your account should now be credited, although the credit may not appear until after the Holiday. Our online store was completely overwhelmed due to our predetermination and announcement of the exact sale time.

If you were one of the few to receive a bag, that's great! We will be releasing two new bags in the future and have learned from this past release how to be more efficient on the next launch.

I'd like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented event. It's always nice to hear how loyal, supportive, and warm Club Cameron members can truly be.

We are always striving to make things better, make them right, and to continue creating cool stuff for this game we all love so much. Again, thanks for your support and understanding.

I emailed Club Cameron and suggested they give the "unfortunate" ones first shot at the next batch of bags. We'll see what happens. It would be nice if the "unfortunate" ones could start buying at 11:55 a.m. EST while everyone else has to wait until 12:00 p.m. EST. After all, four or five minutes really makes a difference.

I doubt that will happen. My guess is that they do not inform members of an "exact" time for the next release. They won't (and cannot) make the same mistake twice.

I guess we'll have to see what happens.

Gotta agree with ya on that one. He should 'comp those that were charged; like a pivot tool or head cover. See Im scr*w*d because I want the yellow bag and its gonna be like wearing gas underwear and taking a walk through h*ll to get on. I bet EBayers are loving this. :)

Interesting how badly everyone wants Cameron stuff.......so they can sell it to others that want Cameron stuff.....etc....and Scotty...well, he just gets a nice big 401k and walks happily off into the future to golf wherever in the world he choses later in life, and we pay for it all. Neat.

Can you imagine what would happen if everyone decided enough is enough already...Kinda like spending $1500 on Beanie Babies a few years ago, now worth nothing. (by the way not me).
