How I visualize my lower body on my backswing to give me extra yards

I was recently struggling staying behind the ball and my hips were releasing forward way to soon. I searched around for some drills and movements to stay back and I came accross Ron del Barrio's vids on youtube.

 

After watching his driver vid something clicked in my head. I used to pitch in college and independent pro ball after college... and the main thing to generate power is the load phase when you lift you leg. I tried it with my driver at the range and it seemed to cure everything of my hips releasing and even add yardage.

 

To explain it more when I bring the club back I load up on my slightly bent right knee, about 80-90%, like I'm ready to throw a pitch to the mound... then when I feel my back swing has reached the top I explode towards the ball.

 

I realize this visual might not be good for everyone but it really helps me stay back and generate power.

 

 

Nolan Ryan's back leg is a good example. It's torqued, 80% balanced weight on it... ready to explode.
