Cleveland Comp V Titleist 905T - help me choose !!

Don't let the name fool you, the last time an R7tp was in my bag was about 15 drivers ago !!

 

Now need to decide between these two, obviously need to consider resale value :) however, what should I choose ???

 

Forgiveness is not a huge consideration, I am more interested in performance, feel, playability.

 

All help appreciated, one or the other will be in transit tomorrow :blink:

I have them both, and i am a Titleist lover, but i would have to give the nod to the Comp.

 

Comp is a great driver, long and accurate. Good luck in your choice.

agree = i have a no. of drivers and the comp would rate very high in my opinion

the nak is my current favourite but the comp is close with 905 way down the list

 

my comp is 10.5 with fuji fit on six stiff = it is a fairway splitter with very repectable distance..

 

my 905t with graffalloy blue feels like a dog in comparison

Between the 905T, and the Comp, I would pick the Comp. It's a long and forgiving driver. The Comp has a tendency of a slightly high launch angle (especially with the stock shaft). Where the 905T's launch angle will probably be a bit lower. Both are good drivers, so you really can't go wrong with either one. I currently have a Comp with a stock shaft, and will be looking at trading for a Comp with an NV shaft to bring the ball flight down somewhat.

 

If you can hold off a few months, the Comp may drop a little bit more in price due to Clevelands "Hi-Bore" driver being released. Also, the 905R will be coming out probably this spring. The 905R might be worth looking at as well.

go with the comp..........i demoed one the other day and absolutely loved it.......i'm thinking about getting it also.........but too many drivers in play right now.....i'm gonna have to give up one!

Mid-summer 05', I went to a demo day and tried the 905T/NV stiff with my own Cleveland L400 9.5 /GDI ys-7x but felt no real reason to change. I later also got the Comp 460 9.5/fuji 757s and if you say you're "interested in performance, feel, playability" this is it, and with the right shaft ...it's over ....the Comp 460 has delayed some drivaholics i know into not changing .....good luck :)

No I would not get the comp! The 905T is a very good driver and has helped me in many situations. Great. Long and solid. Best stock shafts available as well!

Jer-Jer, you'll be pleased to know that in typical HO form, I got neither !!!!!!!!
