I was in the same boat as you, overwhelmed by all the choices, but if you break it down its pretty simple not to mention very thorough in the sense that they offer a shaft for pretty much anyone. First, I play a 6064 mid kick reg/stiff with a torque rating of 4.2. My swingspeed is average 112. The specs say that this shaft cpm's at 269 but it doesnt feel like it. This shaft is super smooth and loads way easy. The shot dispersion on this sucker is unbelievable, its that tight. honestly, all you need to do is put a smooth easy swing on this thing and it bombs. My carry distance has increased about 10-15 yards and i dont have to be aggressive. Thats pretty much why i went with the reg/stiff so i could slow down and control my tempo. I didnt tip it but butt trimmed to length to 44.5. I have it in a J33 P and im pretty much set. I ve tried talking to a lot of people who have used it before i bought it and they love it, and i must say the shaft definitely lives up to its hype. Seriously, its worth it, maybe you can find a pull either on here or tourspec or bsg for relatively cheap. hope this helps...

I'm glad the 6064 working out for you.

... how would you characterize the kick through impact on this shaft? how about the trajectory it generates?

WTF $650??? no axiv costs $650. Maby the V spec, usualy the axiv is around $250. Do you mean an Ozik? Those are $1200 or $400. Also a cpm of 400 is for guys named Kal-el

I believe those 400+ cycle shafts were IRON shafts, not for metalwoods, and the $600-700+ price tag was for a SET of iron shafts. The wood shafts are currently going for just under $300 on TSG
