Just got my Burer TP Ozik X con 5

Question about the shaft

Git the Ozik X con 5 X flex shaft in it has the tayormade graphics. is this just like purchasing a normal X con 5 or is it like any other retail after market name brand shaft made for the company not a real ozik? thanks

You are goint to hear all sorts of replys to this - I was thinking the same. I spoke with a guy at Taylor Made UK who I used to play golf with in opens etc. He said the shaft is specially made for TM with Tm graphics applied. He would not expand on that any more? I asked again is it a real Ozik? he said yes made for our clubs with our graphics.

 

Checked with the Uk customer services dept today and they same its the real thing. Fair play to Taylor Made if it is.

I have had the Burner TP Diamana White and the Xcon5. From what i can tell when comparing it to clubs with an "aftermarket shaft", they seem to be the real thing. At least I can't tell a difference in launch and feel - besides the graphics obviously.

They are exactly the same just painted differently.

They're the same shafts just with TM graphics.

are you talking about the Tour Burner TP shaft? Cause if so it looks like the specs are different to me...

taylor's site says 4.5 torque and matrix says 4.0

The shaft is the same just got off the phone with custom fit Taylormade department and the tourque is diffrent becuase the way Taylormade tips there shaft thanks guys

anyone put these 2 shafts on the launch monitor in this head? Just want to know the differences.

I put these 2 shafts on a shaft profiler and they came out alot different. TP Graphice played much softer in the tip to mid area than the one from Matrix.

 

Also I talked to a rep for Matrix and he said not the exact same!! Leagually they put some layers of the technology in the shaft so they can not get sued. But he said not the exact same shaft as the aftermarket and I would believe them first because TM guys always clame one thing but as we all know there retail equip. and TOUR equip. have been alot different.

I`M LOOKING AT GETTING A BURNER TP EITH EITHER A OZIK XCON 5 shaft or a white board, can anyone tell me how they differ and what the differences in performance will be with either

beat me to it, that was next on the list haha. Agreed. I have had the same experience with almost any shaft like that. They usually have SOME of the technology as the real shaft so they can say it uses the same as the real one, but I have yet to see one that actually is exactly the same.
