Newest shafts on the market!

I recently heard from one of the pros at the Jim McClean School at Doral about some new steel iron shafts from a small privately owned shaft company. I dont remember the exact name, but I know it started with a V... something like Volstar or Volcom, somthing like that.

Anyway, he told me that he currently plays Project X shafts but was definitely switching over to these shafts because they really load up well and kick. He claims that he has been professionally fitted to project X shafts, but that a change to these shafts added 6 yards to his 7 iron.

He even added that Vijay recently switched over to these shafts and won the WGC Bridgestone tournament with them.

Anyone know what shafts they are? And if so, any info on them?

The Voodoo is a graphite shaft for woods, not at all like what qbnkid is asking about.

He is/has been using Element21 by Scandium as bloodredsun reported.

Thanks for the info, but I'm pretty sure he didn't say it was Element 21 Scandium. It started with a "V". Either way, its irrellevant whether Vijay is actually playing it now. That was just a reference point. I wanted to know more about these shafts. Any ideas on identification possibilities?

Hi there,

if you take a look at the shaft graphics and compare those to the pics on the E21-website, I would say, that it's their Eagle One shaft VS plays in his irons.
