TM should just sell accessories separate from clubs

Since more and more ebay sellers and others seem to be so in love with TM headcovers, wrenches, and weights that they sell the drivers without the accessories, TM should just sell these items separate upfront.

Hey TM, guess why I will not play the R7 425, 460, R9, or whatever else you come up with until they are over a year old? For one, the TP models are way overpriced. Two, when I find the right price on Ebay (where else?), then it comes without headcover and weight kit. So I wait until the driver is at least a generation old, then get it for much less. It's not because I am cheap, it's because I do play along with your strategy of changing drivers frequently. You started this mess, I am just not willing to go along at $799 per driver. $299 is more like it.

Still, may I suggest outfitting all your accounts with an accessories display rack where consumers can buy headcovers, wrenches, and weights much cheaper than the dirtbags who break these things up and sell them on Ebay or elsewhere. Start selling the drivers without the asccessories. If you make the prices low enough, the consumer will not complain, especially if they feel they have some customization-like choices (different headcover colors/styles, only the weights they want...). It's a win-win-win; you get more revenue, consumer gets a better deal, Ebay sales go down.

You guys are missing the point. No kidding you can buy the accessories separate. But I don't want to "order" them. Make a rack, make it easy, and lower the prices.

$6 for a piece of paper call the R7 manual???? Ripoff!

$12 for a plastic wheel??? What's that? 10000% margin?

$50 for a wrench with case??? Cuckooo.

$50 for a TP headcover??? They must have space age magnets inside.

$18 for a weight???

This is why so many are offering the driver on Ebay without any accessories. TM has created a nice little side business for parting out a driver.

You don't have to "order" them. If you have a Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy or other retailer in your area, they sell all the accessories listed above. My local retailers sell all of the above at store locations normally on end racks or in the checkout line. I realize some retailers may not carry them in stock, but the products are out there. As for the prices, TM can charge what they want and people would probably still buy their products. It's all personal preference and people will buy what they want and spend what they want. As for your issue with the prices, to each his own, but I do agree that some of the prices are inflated but hey, that's business for you. If there is a demand, put a price on it, and people will buy.

Of course if you compare this to Callaway Customer Service whom if you lose your headcover and call them they will send you a replacement for free.

I called TM the other day and was giving the wrong headcover when i bought a putter and they sent me a new one no questions asked.
