I think my husband found me a treasure

So I hit some TaylorMade drivers a few weeks ago at a demo day. I usually shy away from anything girly, but the TaylorMade guy handed me a Burner and with the Aldila 55 NV ladies shaft in it and it felt sweet.

So my husband hunted around on ebay and found me a used 10.5 deg ladies R7 CGB Max with the pink NV 55 shaft. He figured if I do not like the head, I should be able to use the shaft. We think it may have been a demo since it did not have the headcover. It also was hardly hit, but has some scratches from bag clatter, like when all the demos are shoved together. I was so excited when it got here today I had to hit a few shots from my front yard into the woods! I also cleaned it up a little better after I took these pics.

I think the sw is a little light (since I used to my M flex Burner), so I may replace the 1 gram weights on the outside with more weight after I play it this weekend. I think the shorter shaft will be easier to control. I can't wait to try it tomorrow!

Nice find by your husband there. My sister plays the same setup and it really works for her. Have fun with it.

i just got one to try also. no , not with the pink shaft.

r7 cgb.it looks real close to the new r7 limited. hopefully the weather is decent.

it's suppose to be a high of 38 on sunday.

So I took her out today. My kids have named her "pinky" due to the pink shaft. I did not play all week, so I was a little quick. First few holes were not good. I was swinging too hard-transition way too fast. It was also windy today, which mentally makes me want to swing harder.

After I got a feel for her, I hit a few good shots. Not longer than my Burner, but I cannot hit longer unless my swingspeed increases. The club feels light since I have men's hybrids and fairway wood. I think the shaft is really good for me. I cannot explain it, but it just feels right when I make a good swing. With the shorter shaft I think it will be easier for me to hold my release (my worst swing fault is early release). I am going to experiment with adding some weights in the head so there will be less difference in feel between the driver and 5 wood. I saw weight kids on tgw.com. If anyone knows better places to get the weight kits, let me know.
