fujikura banzai in hybrid?

anyone have this in their hybrid? how does it work? i have a steel shafted dws baffler 2r 18 deg. even tho the nippon steel shaft is supposed to bring the flight up i feel like its too low... wondering if the banzai shaft will do this for me, its only $20 right now and the stock shaft cobra offers is the aldila vs proto by you.

I have this in a 4h nakashima head. And it hits it REALLY high. I dont know if the head is supposed to be high or low launch though, and the regular shaft in it is a little weak for me which may make it go a little higher than normal, but it does go higher than any other 4h ive had.

I just recently put a stiff Banzai in my Callaway 18* X-series 2H. It was tipped about 1/2" With only one round played I like it so far. Fujikura made the stock shaft in the 2H and the Bonzai hits about the same trajectory as it did. It has lower torque than the stock shaft, which results in more control for my swing. (I prefer shafts with less than 3.5* of torque in all my clubs.) On the only hole I teed off with it I hit it about 5 yards farther that I usually did with the stock shaft, but the added distance could have been due to other factors. When hitting it off the fairway I felt I was in more control. Some might call it boardy but I like that feeling in my clubs. Overall it preformed similar to the stock shaft but I could tell it has a slightly stiffer feeling and had a narrower dispersion pattern.

 

BTW at the same time I put a Bonzai in my 2H I also put two in a friend's Callaway Heavenwood series 4H and 5H. They had stock "Firm" shafts and he constantly sliced and pushed shots with them. With the new stiff Bonzais his shots have become more strait, accurate, and predictable. He really likes the Bonzai shaft.

People need to consider more before they pick product name especially when Mitsubishi made "Zero" fighter airplane to "Banzai" our war hero ships during WWII!

 

What in the world were they thinking or was it intended?

I've got the banzai in all of my hybrids and they work really well for me. Its a great shaft for the money IMO. I know there is higher end shafts out there but I just couldn't imagine one of em playing better for me than these. I'm not so sure they would work in just any hybrid but the sonartecs and these were meant to be.

Just had the Fujikura Bonzai Regular Flex .370 tip installed in my TM Rescue.

I am 51 years old and a 12 handicap. With the stock shaft I was fighting a hook but with the Fuji shaft, I have a nice 5 - 10 yard draw.

The flights a little lower as well.

My driver also has a Fuji Motore F1 regular flex.

The Fujikura shafts seem to work for me, I love the solid response the shafts give you at impact. [/b]

I just had a bonzai .370 installed in my sumo 2 hybrid 4, went 1 inch longer. I like the ballflight, but does feel slightly floppy compared to the previous stock diamana. It was not tipped on install, however, and that may be the whole ballgame, not entirely sure.

You'll probably need to hardstep or go up a flex with it, the shaft has a loose feel to it. I found a better option to be the bassara h by mitsubishi.
