need help lowering launch angle/flight

hey guys, i am looking to change shafts in my 425tp 10.5 deg driver. i know that changing lofts will certainly help lower my launch but i really love this clubhead and dont want to change if i do not have to. while i do not have my launch angle/spin rate info as of yet, i know my swing speed is 110-113 with the driver

so i would like some help for changing shafts to lower my ball flight down.

i currently have a graphite design 65-x flex in it so what do you think i should go to? also, i really dont have the funds for a high end shaft (ozik etc) so keep the suggestions in line with that.

If you're trying to save money on a shaft, I don't believe the Prolaunch Red are too expensive. It's a great shaft that doesn't spin much at all. It should definitely lower the ball flight. I messed around with one in a 907D2, which is obviously a head that spins a ton, but it worked beautifully. The head had a much lower loft than yours, but the shaft still felt great. It wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

thanks, and i have thought about that shaft, and now that you mention it, i guess i could find a pull of a higher end model at a good deal. so if any have suggestions for that i will take them.

I didn't read much on the page I just posted, but it looks good from a glance. Spending $40 on a shaft and finding the right person to put it in for a reasonable price sounds like it'd be a nice little upgrade. Check it out.

There's one that's .335 if that's what you need. It is, however, a little more expensive.

65g is a little light if you are looking for a low launching shaft. I would look into a shaft between 75-85g if you want to keep the ball down with low spin

You're right... It is a little light, and that's what I thought before I gave it a shot. Unless you've tried it, though, it's not fair to knock it. Like I said, I wasn't sure how well it'd work initially either... Not to say you've never tried it. Maybe you have...
