Need Help With A Driver: Numbers Included

Nike Sumo 5000 vs. 5900

I was at the golf store today, testing out new drivers, and these were the two which were the best for me. Here are my numbers with both:(all numbers are averages)

Nike Sumo 5900, 10.5 degrees, Vs Proto Regular Flex
Distance: 201.3 yards
Carry: 193.7 yards
Launch Angle: 14.1 degrees
Ball Speed: 127.8 mph
Club Speed: 91.2 mph
No shot was 5 yards right or left from the centre line

Nike Sumo 5000, 13 degrees, Stock Diamana Yellowboard
Distance: 203.1 yards
Carry: 194.3 yards
Launch Angle: 14.6 degrees
Ball Speed: 127.0 mph
Club Speed: 91.0 mph
No shot was 5 yards right or left from the centre line

These results were very consistent. The 5000 as you can see game me more distance, but I liked the feel of the 5900 better, not to mention the shaft. I was wondering if anyone cold give insight on what combo loft would suit me if I put a Vs Proto shaft in the 5000 head? Any insight is welcomed

You are missing the spin rates. Those numbers are pretty important.

the launch monitor I was on did not have spin rates, sorry.

Well your smash factor is 1.4, which isn't very good. You aren't getting the carry or distance that you could be getting with a 91 MPH club head speed. The numbers really don't mean a hole lot without the spin rates unfortunately. Any chance you could get on a different monitor? If the one you are on didn't give spin rates, it probably wasn't terribly accurate either.

Thanks for the input. this was my first time on a launch monitor, at a store called nevada bobs golf, out in canada. The guy who was helping me kept on saying "iI want your launch angle to be in between 12 and 16" so that was all we looked for. He also tried to change my adress position. When I first came in, I was positioned like I am with a 3-wood and was hitting 210 yard low bombs. When he changed my setup, these were my numbers. Maybe I should get on a better launch monitor, and will try to do that this week.
