Refinishing putters and irons

I've got some old Camerons (mostly pro plats) and Purefit irons I want to try to refinish - mainly buffing out some nicks and putting a satin finish on. I have a 6" bench grinder with a 1/2" arbor. Can anyone tell me whether these items are what I need or is there something else?

I think I need the arbor adapter with the flatbrush.

i wouldnt recoment using a bench grinder. those attachments would reach many places and the bench grinder is easy to mess up if using the stone. the attachments are mainfor finishing and you could use those on the sole. i would suggest buying a dremmel(50 to 100 dollars and you can use a stone at low speed, then go to flapwheel, sanding finner grits and it would look great. on the pro plats they are plated so you should get them stripped then do the work and replate them.

Years ago, I actually purchased 3M CPM Wheel for shaping, 3M EXL wheel for rough finishing, and a cloth wheel with various rouges for final finishing. In addition, I purchased 2 additional wheels to get a different look and still couldn't come close to replicating the original finish. All told the wheels and compounds cost $200+ and at best were used to re-finish stainless steel heads. Not sure how close you want the plats to look as original.. you would need to strip the plating, buff/polish the head, bead blast the topline to reduce glare, and have someone re-plate the head. For scotty putters, I would send them to SC for re-finishing.
